Team Biographies

Christine Sward - Catering Manager, Catering Sales and Special Events

Christine is very excited to join the team at Lake Forest Academy’s Campus catering services, coming to Lake Forest from the University of South Carolina. She attended the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and graduated with a Business Administration major and history minor. Prior to joining Sodexo, she was with a hospitality company in a catering support role at major sports venues, hosting high profile suites & club level food service. Christine joined Sodexo in 2015. In addition to serving meals to the student community, guests, staff and faculty at University of South Carolina, Christine delivered high standards catering at multiple events on campus.


Christine Stache is looking forward to sharing her passion for the hospitality industry at Lake Forest Academy. She is eager to provide a superior customer service experience taking clients on a new client relationship journey with the LFA community.


Chef Mark Tylk - Executive Chef

Executive Chef Mark Tylk began his culinary journey at the Cooking and Hospitality Institution of Chicago and later joined Sodexo in 2007. He has been the Executive Chef at Illinois Wesleyan University for the past six years; where his culinary themes included nutrition, health, gluten-free, allergy conscious, food-alcohol pairings, umami (known as the fifth taste) and the slow food movement “sous vide.” In addition to serving meals to the 1,800 students, guests, staff and faculty on campus Chef Tylk oversaw the high end catering conferences, events and weddings.

Chef Tylk is looking forward to sharing his passion for cooking and having others join him on his quest for culinary excellence. He is eager to provide a superior customer service experience taking clients on a journey of his seasoned knowledge of menu design.


Alisa Levey - Catering Supervisor

       

Alisa joined the Sodexo Campus division at Lake Forest Academy's historic Armour House, Catering Sales and Special Events team in March 2016. After a long and meaningful teaching career, she made a career change into the hospitality industry. Alisa's career choice was driven by her genuine delight in planning and hosting her own events. Her previous work experiences have established her as someone who is service oriented and builds trusting relationships with clients. Alisa has been executing various catering needs for Lake Forest Academy, participating in ceremony and reception planning sessions, and assisting clients and vendors the day of events here at the historic Armour House. 

 

Alisa has exceptional organizational abilities with acute attention to detail, which is evident during planning sessions, particularly at table top design meetings. Prior to joining the Armour House, Alisa worked in the Wine Tasting Room at Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant. She brings her wine expertise to menu tasting sessions. She has a proven record working collaboratively on a team, and has the skills to effectuate a flowing event. Alisa loves celebrations, and her goal is to make your event memorable for you and each one of your guests.
